Our People
Kristi Nordquist
Kristi Nordquist is president and chief executive officer of Prins Insurance of Sioux Falls, Inc. She was the second employee of the insurance agency and has been with the company since 1990. Working with all types of clients, Kristi’s sales and service work includes personal lines and commercial lines as well as life and health and medicare insurance products. She also specializes in trucking insurance. Kristi’s strong business background in human resources and data processing has made her an invaluable part of the agency.
In 1993, she was designated as a Certified Insurance Counselor and is currently a member of the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. She has also been a South Dakota Notary since 1996. She was the treasurer of Big Chill, the agency management software users group. Decorating, walking, yoga, reading and shopping are just of few of Kristi’s varied pastimes.
Kristi is a native of Sioux Falls, and has one son.
Nicole Polreis
Nicole Polreis started working at Prins Insurance of Sioux Falls in 2008. She has been a licensed property and casualty agent since November 2010. Her sales and service work includes all type of personal lines of insurance including being the Prins Insurance quoting specialist. She also assists with incoming calls, processing payments and banking items.
Nicole is the mother two sons, Bodee and Maximus. She resides in Harrisburg. In her spare time, she enjoys running, taking her boys to the park, and playing softball and volleyball.
Since 2002, Nicole has served in the SD National Guard. She was deployed to Iraq and served one year working as an automated logistics specialist.
“The National Guard has been a huge part of my life,” Nicole says. “It’s taken me a lot of places and has helped with my education. Most of all, it has made me a stronger individual. I joined the guard when I was 17 not knowing how much it would change my life for the better.”
Laurie Hansen
Laurie Hansen started working with Prins Insurance in 2017. She has been a part of the insurance industry since 1986 and has worked in claims, commercial auditing and as a property and casualty insurance agent. She has been a licensed property and casualty insurance agent since January 2012. Laurie sells and services all types of personal lines of insurance and some commercial lines.
Rachel Potter
Rachel has worked in the insurance industry since 1997. She is licensed as a property and casualty agent and performs sales and service work for all types of personal lines insurance policies.
Rachel grew up on a farm in Valley Springs, South Dakota and graduated from Brandon Valley High School. She also completed her business education at Pipestone Area Vo Tech College.
She has five children and enjoys lots of family activities including camping and fishing. One of her sons is a race car driver, and she enjoys going to the races at many of the local area racetracks.
Her church is a big part of her life, and in her spare time, Rachel enjoys participating in many church activities.
Angela Strum
Angela Strum has been with Prins Insurance since 2020 and is a currently licensed with her personal lines. Angela’s prior work background includes being a long distance operator, medical secretary, relay operator, customer service, and licensed insurance agent. Angela has been in the personal lines insurance field since 2013 and enjoys helping people to the best of her ability.
Angela was raised on the family farm south of Presho and graduated from Lyman High School. After high school, she moved to Sioux Falls and graduated from Nettleton Business College. Angela currently resides in Lennox with her husband. And she has one son. Her favorite past time is finding rocks, crafting and riding her ATV.
